Eve River 2002 Page 5

We say good bye to the Eve River with this photo by Roy Sorensen. Thanks Roy for all the tips. Your fly worked great at Salmon Point.

There can be great Pink Salmon Fishing closer to home. Pinks are being caught at Nile Beach and at the Oyster River through to Salmon Point. Any estuary along the Georgia Strait and Johnstone Strait is worth checking out. Many of these beaches will also provide a great fishery for Coho as we move into fall.

Dawn breaks on a beach near Salmon Point. If the fish don't show in one area, it pays to check further up or down the beach.

Eric prepares for the early morning bite.

Fish are often found right at the beach. Cast before you wade or you will spook fish you can easily reach.
